We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Mattoon, IL facility!

 

Summary:

Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment, and machinery. Perform regular inspections, identify issues, and carry out necessary repairs to ensure functionality and safety of all machinery.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

Maintenance Responsibilities:

  • Work safely in conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Identifying and diagnosing equipment failures and performing necessary repairs.
  • Follow maintenance schedules and provide corrective action reports.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime. 

Problem-solving and Analytical Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Analytical mindset for analyzing data and identifying trends to improve maintenance practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in analyzing and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and manuals.
  • Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Previous experience in maintenance engineering or a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of maintenance techniques, procedures, and best practices.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school;
  • Minimum 1 yr related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

  • Basic Computer skills for the creation of service reports using tablets.

Communication and Teamwork:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
